MITR Family Care App ("MITR", "we", "our", or "us") provides family caregiving, reminders, alerts, insights, and voice-based support features. This Privacy Policy explains what information we access, collect, use, and share when you use the MITR Family Care App.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information, such as your name, email address, and login credentials.
  • Profile information you provide about family members or care recipients, including names, relationships, schedules, reminders, and caregiving details.
  • App usage information, such as interactions with app features, app events, and diagnostic information needed to operate and improve the app.
  • Device information, such as device type, operating system, app version, push token, and technical identifiers needed for notifications and app functionality.
  • Audio information, if you choose to use microphone-enabled features such as voice notes or voice interactions.
  • Notification-related information, if you enable push notifications.

2. Microphone / Audio Access

MITR requests microphone permission so users can use voice-related features, such as recording voice notes or other audio-based caregiving interactions.

We only access the microphone when you actively use a feature that requires audio input. We do not access the microphone continuously in the background for unrelated purposes.

3. How We Use Information

We use information we collect to:

  • create and manage user accounts;
  • authenticate users and maintain sessions;
  • provide caregiving features such as reminders, alerts, care plans, and insights;
  • enable voice and audio features when requested by the user;
  • send notifications and important app updates;
  • troubleshoot, secure, maintain, and improve the app;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information.

We may share information in the following limited situations:

  • with service providers and infrastructure providers that help us host, operate, secure, or support the app;
  • with notification, communications, analytics, or cloud service providers as needed to provide the app's features;
  • if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;
  • to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the app, or the public;
  • in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.

5. Data Retention

When information is no longer required for these purposes, we will delete it or de-identify it where reasonably possible.

MITR Family Care App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without appropriate authorization where required by law.

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, where data protection laws may differ. Where required, we take reasonable steps to protect personal information in connection with such transfers.
